Big Wave Bay, or Tai Long Wan, is located at the end of Hong Kong Trail.

It is time to take a little walk on the beach and let the nature wash away all your tiredness and leave your worries behind.

To your left, you can find a little path leading to a rock carving landscape. The carving was made by people living here thousands of years ago. What did they see? What were they thinking at that time? What has happened after they were gone? Can you hear the answer from the wind?

You think you own whatever land you land on.
The earth is just a dead thing you can claim.
But I know every rock and tree and creature,
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name.

In 2003, I moved to Hong Kong with a dream of traveling around the world. Later I found out, HK is an amazing "mini world". Other than skyscrapers, a few steps outside the modern city, it has steep hills, winding coastlines, outlying islands, millions of years volcanic rocks, remote beaches, unspoilt fishing villages, secret waterfalls, wild animals and ancient forests. Follow me now to explore the Hong Kong less traveled.
